Contraindications to drug application

Before Arcoxia use, all contraindications should be thoroughly considered. It will help to avoid any side-effects. Correct drug use with taking into consideration of all contraindications allows to successfully treat the disease without any adverse reactions.

Contraindications include: hypersensibility to any drug component, bronchial asthma, nasal polyposis, and acetilsalicylic acid and other non-steroid anti-inflammatory drugs intolerance, erosive ulcer of stomach, duodenal ulcer, hemophilia and other disorders of blood coagulation, cardiac insufficiency, hepatic impairment, renal insufficiency, and high arterial pressure.

Drug use is not recommended during pregnancy or breast-feeding as Arcoxia may negatively affect a fetus and an infant. Arcoxia is not recommended for children under 12 years of age.

During Arcoxia use arterial pressure should be controlled. All patients during drug taking should monitor their arterial pressure within first two weeks of the treatment and later on the regular base. Also the liver and kidneys should be tested. Arcoxia is not recommended to be taken with non-steroid anti-inflammatory drugs.

Arcoxia is allowed with acetylsalicinic acid in low doses intended for prophylaxis of cardiovascular diseases.

During the treatment, the patients are recommended to be careful at driving and any potentially dangerous activity required attention and fast psychomotor reactions.
